If you are stuck in mud you can spin your wheels and end up deeper in it, or you can call to get towed out of it.
Same thing with PTSD and you can get free of it with someone pulling you out from where you are stuck.
The people who can pull you out, have been right where you are before and tried all different ways to get back on the road. They figured out what did not work, but eventually, understood what did work!
When I was young I ran out of gas ⛽ and a stranger came to help me. If you are out of fuel, do not just sit there.
Everyone needs help at some time in their lives. Most people know what it feels like to help someone. It is wonderful all the way around. If you are usually the one who gives help, remember that! You are the one who has the hardest time asking for it, or even accepting it when it is offered. How would you feel if you offered help but they did not accept it?
If you are living with PTSD, you may need a little help to get you on the road again. Accept the help offered so that you can turn around and pass it onto someone else.
Let someone help you refuel your tank with hope 🙏 #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife from #PTSD
Keeping on the topic of different levels of help you may need to get back on the road, think of having a flat tire. Sometimes you can just change the tire yourself. Sometimes you can't. You do not need a mechanic to show up to help you.
Sometimes you need roadside help for something small, like a flat tire and then you can get back on the road. Same thing with PTSD and you just need a little more help.

One of the worst things that can happen is when you lose your keys. Time to figure out what you did with them. You cannot go anywhere until you do. The keys you need to heal PTSD are lost too! The good news is, they are still where you can find them. #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife
There are many different times you may need help with getting on the road. There are also many different ways someone can help you with what you need in that time.
You may simply need a jump start and then you can ask a neighbor or call someone you know to help you. Other times, you can ask someone you see, who does not been to be a vehicle mechanic, but since you need something really basic, they can get your "vehicle" going again. Once you get recharged, you are on your way again.
Other times, like when you get into an accident, you need a lot more than a jumpstart. You need everything you can get. A tow truck to get your vehicle out of danger. You may need emergency response to get you to the professional medical care you need. Or, you may just need someone to get you back home.
It is the same thing when you are recovering from something traumatic and dealing with PTSD.
