PTSD Patrol You've Got The Power----to heal!

PTSD Patrol
Kathie Costos
September 15, 2020

Today the featured video is a bit different. If is from the movie Bruce Almighty when God gave him the power to do all kinds of things. When you survive whatever caused your #PTSD, you have the power to heal as a survivor already inside of you. The very fact you are watching these videos means you have the power of hope already and that is the start of living a happier life.
Just imagine that you are Bruce and God knew that you would use your power for good eventually. Want to change the world? Then start with yourself and spread the message of healing to others, so they can change the world too! #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife

It may not be easy....but it can happen if you believe!

PTSD Patrol In your widest dream

PTSD Patrol
Kathie Costos
September 14, 2020

If you think there is no hope of a happier life then it is more like a nightmare that doesn't stop. If you know you can heal. then it's more like making your wildest dream come true. Hope is why you survived whatever caused PTSD and hope will help you heal now 🙏 #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife from #PTSD

Once upon a time
Once when you were mine
I remember skies
Reflected in your eyes
I wonder where you are
I wonder if you think about me
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams
Once the world was new
Our bodies felt the morning dew
That greets the brand new day
We couldn't tear ourselves away
I wonder if you care
I wonder if you still remember
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams
And when the music plays
And when the words are touched with sorrow
When the music plays
I hear the sound I had to follow
Once upon a time
Once beneath the stars
The universe was ours
Love was all we knew
And all I knew was you
I wonder if you know
I wonder if you think about it
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams

And when the music plays
And when the words are touched with sorrow
When the music plays
And when the music plays
I hear the sound I had to follow
Once upon a time
Once upon a time
Once when you were mine
I remember skies
Mirrored in your eyes
I wonder where you are
I wonder if you think about me
Once upon a time

In your wildest dreams (ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)

PTSD Patrol wake me up!

PTSD Patrol
Kathie Costos
September 13, 2020

The song starts off with,
"Feeling my way through the darkness
Guided by a beating heart
I can't tell where the journey will end
But I know where to start"
but no one knows where our journey will end. The only thing we have power over, is one moment to the next and how we intend to travel through this life we have.

You can "work your way through the darkness" and get back into the light. You can have your pain and your happiness, by letting the happiness get stronger so it reduces the power of your pain.

I usually end my videos with "It's your life. Get in and drive." because that is what you need to be hearing most of all. You do have the power to change the road you're on and define how you want to live your life!

Feeling my way through the darkness
Guided by a beating heart
I can't tell where the journey will end
But I know where to start
They tell me I'm too young to understand
They say I'm caught up in a dream
Well life will pass me by if I don't open up my eyes
Well that's fine by me
So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost
So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost
I tried carrying the weight of the world
But I only have two hands
I hope I get the chance to travel the world
But I don't have any plans
I wish that I could stay forever this young
Not afraid to close my eyes
Life's a game made for everyone
And love is the prize
So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost
So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost
I didn't know I was lost
So wake me up when it's all over
When I'm wiser and I'm older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn't know I was lost

PTSD Patrol finding a better way

PTSD Patrol
Kathie Costos
September 12, 2020

"Drivin' my life away" is something a lot of people feel as if it explains their lives.

The song Drivin' My Life Away came on and I thought how appropriate it was to explain what healing #PTSD is like. Looking for a better way and brighter days is what you are doing right now. Celebrate that! #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife

Well the midnight headlights blind you on a rainy night
Steep grade up ahead, slow me down, makin' no time,
But I got to keep rollin'
Those windshield wipers slappin' out a tempo,
Keepin' perfect rhythm with the song on the radio,
But I got to keep rollin'
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a sunny day
Well the truck stop cutie comin' on to me,
Tried to talk me into a ride
Said I wouldn't be sorry
But she was just a baby
Hey, waitress, pour me another cup of coffee,
Pop it down, jack me up, shoot me out, flyin' down the highway,
Lookin' for the mornin'
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a sunny day
Well the midnight headlights blind you on a rainy night
Steep grade up ahead, slow me down, makin' no time,
But I got to keep rollin'
Those windshield wipers slappin' out a tempo,
Keepin' perfect rhythm with the song on the radio,
But I got to keep rollin'
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a sunny day
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a sunny day, yeah
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away, lookin' for a better way for me

PTSD Patrol on the road again

PTSD Patrol
Kathie Costos
September 11, 2020

Some people refuse to think about others and learn what the facts are about everything. Just like they are with COVID 19, they refuse to believe the truth and demand to do what they want to do. With PTSD they refuse to learn anything and then think they are smart.

We know they can get in the way of healing, so remember if they cared, they would learn. Their opinion is not based on facts, so their opinion should hold no power over you. #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife from #PTSD

On the road again
I just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again
And I can't wait to get on the road again
Here we go, on the road again
Like a band of Gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world keep turnin' our way
And our way is on the road again
I just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again, break free
And I can't wait to get on the road again
