Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?

If you are lucky, you have someone who cares about you. They see how you are changing, even they don't know the cause. They just know enough to try to convince you to do something about it.

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?

Listen to their advice and know they are doing it because they care about you.

Today I am not feeling well, and that will happen from time to time. To make up for it, there is a special Desperado video that I did not know existed until today. Don Henley was on the Howard Stern Show and he talked about recording the iconic song...and then he sang it his way.

Stop pushing people out of your life because you are afraid they will see you are not made of stone. Knowing you need help, like everyone else, especially if you help others, makes you human. It is a lot better than leaving them to think you are a jerk they don't really want to know anymore.

Remember, it is your life...get in and drive it!

"Desperado"
Eagles

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You've been out ridin' fences for so long now
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet
Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get

Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
You're losin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you
(Let somebody love you)
You better let somebody love you before it's too late

AZ Lyrics
Don Henley recalled for Howard Stern how members of the London Philharmonic were actually playing chess behind him while he was trying to record his vocals for the Eagles hit “Desperado.”
