PTSD Patrol Passengers

When you have PTSD, you are the driver of everyone in your life. It is just the way it is. When they do not understand what is going on inside of you, they end up putting all of it on their shoulders. Then, you don't know what you are doing to them. It gets very confusing for everyone. It is like getting lost on a road trip, losing your cell phone reception and your GPS. (If you're old like me, I remember reading a road map and having it blow out the window!)

My husband and I have been married over 35 years, so trust me, I get it. I know what PTSD did to him and also what it did to me. I can assure you that the road ahead can be tricky. It can feel like being stuck in traffic for hours. Knowing what PTSD is, and why it does what it does, having your passengers in life know, then it can be more like a pleasant Sunday drive!

PTSD Patrol after accidents

This is the one that has been the most difficult. After an accident, or whatever caused the problem, you may need more help than you may want.

Help is there for you! Knowing what you need to get you back on the road ahead is good, but even better if you know where to find it. #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife from #PTSD

PTSD Patrol: special for hospital staff facing PTSD

With the debate about the virus and too many thinking it is a hoax, think of it this way. If you are wrong and discover it is real, then you may come to regret what you believed. If you are a good person, as most of you are, that will be really hard to take.

If I am wrong wearing one, then the worst that can happen is, I will look foolish thinking I did something for the right reason. In the end I won't feel bad about being wrong...I'll get a good laugh out of it.
As you know, I have no problem laughing at myself!
So many nurses and doctors are pleading for citizens to wear a mask and stop spreading the virus. They are under tremendous stress because some people will not take this seriously. Cases of PTSD are rising for them and you can make it better for them. #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife from #PTSD

PTSD Patrol: Cooling off road rage

PTSD Patrol

July 20, 2020

When you are driving you see many drivers acting as if rules are not made for them.

There is also road rage in the vehicle you live in. You are actually in control of both. You can control how you react on the road, and react in your own life. This is especially important if you are dealing with #PTSD. #BreakTheSilence and #TakeBackYourLife

PTSD Patrol: Stuck in the mud?

PTSD Patrol

If you are stuck in mud you can spin your wheels and end up deeper in it, or you can call to get towed out of it.

Same thing with PTSD and you can get free of it with someone pulling you out from where you are stuck.

The people who can pull you out, have been right where you are before and tried all different ways to get back on the road. They figured out what did not work, but eventually, understood what did work!

Is it time to call a tow truck?
